China, South Korea haggle over origins of fermented vegetable dish

Social media users in China and South Korea were up in arms this week, after a popular Chinese influencer posted a video of her making paocai, a dish Chinese say is from Sichuan Province. South Koreans say the claim is bogus, and that the fermented vegetable dish is actually an appropriation of Kimchi, Korea's national dish.
