Major construction of the Universal Beijing Resort has been completed and the facility is set to open in May.
The resort, located in Beijing's eastern suburban district of Tongzhou, consists of the Universal Studios theme park, the Universal CityWalk and two superior hotels, with 37 recreational facilities and themed attractions, 24 kinds of performances, 80 restaurants and 30 retail shops.
Universal Studios Resort is to offer tourists an immersive experience by integrating culture and tourism. Pre-opening preparation is now underway, including the improvement of interior decoration, facility testing, tourist service rehearsals and staff training.
Chinese amusement park lovers will be able to enjoy Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, Transformers: Metrobase, Minion Land, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World Isla Nublar, Hollywood and WaterWorld.
The theme park has become a model of large-scale, complicated and special project management in China in terms of schedule control, quality control, budget control and safety control, among which green construction is a highlight, with notable achievements in dust control, energy conservation and environmental protection.
Construction of the resort started in August 2018 and the theme park is expected to attract over 10 million tourists per year after its opening.
