The Daxing District in southeast Beijing will carry out nucleic acid tests for all residents, district health authorities announced on Monday. 

The district has reported two locally transmitted COVID-19 cases on Sunday, the first in more than 200 days. 

The district of over 1.6 million people is expected to conclude testing by Monday.
