The talented, feathered songster in south China's Hainan Province

On a sunny day in the Bawangling tropical rainforest in south China's island province of Hainan, a white-rumped shama stood on a branch, basking in the sun. The bird is known for its beautiful chirp and shiny, orange belly plumage. It is native to the Indian Subcontinent and Southeast Asia with some subspecies endemic to China.
