In early 2020, CGTN reporter Tao Yuan and photographer Luo Caiwen documented the life and death in a COVID-19 ICU in Wuhan. A year has passed since the lockdown of the city of 11 million people. They returned to see how Wuhan is doing. Friends who bonded because of the pandemic, doctors and nurses, journalists, former patients, and their family members gather again to remember the past. The city moves on, even as scars remain.
