Tonghua City in northeast China's Jilin Province has detected 88 people with COVID-19 after citywide testing as of Friday, local health authorities said Saturday at a press conference. 

Fourteen officials have been punished for failing to prevent and control the epidemic, according to a government statement on Saturday. 

A total of 361,648 people have been tested in the city's second round of mass nucleic acid testing, authorities added.
