An ongoing coronavirus outbreak in China's northeastern Heilongjiang Province is having an effect on Spring Festival travel. Hundreds of thousands of people's travel plans might have to be canceled, due to the effect of COVID-19. Heilongjiang provincial authorities are suggesting residents stay where they are, and celebrate the Lunar New Year there. But for Chinese people, it's the most important holiday of the year, and a time for family reunions that nobody wants to miss, even with the risk of outbreaks.
