Protests against the nationwide curfew starting on January 23 in the Netherlands have degenerated into clashes with police in several cities. Businesses in Eindhoven were looted, and a coronavirus testing center was set on fire in the village of Urk. Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse a crowd of several hundred, arresting at least 240 protesters. "The fire in a screening center in Urk goes beyond all limits," Health Minister Hugo de Jonge said.
