Britain will look at the potential of relaxing some COVID-19 restrictions before February 15, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Monday.
Schools in the UK will remain closed for a little longer and the government will assess the situation on February 15 to decide whether to reopen schools.
The UK was also considering the possibility of toughening border controls due to the risk of "vaccine-busting" new variants of the coronavirus.
The prime minister also added that the country was on target to reach its vaccination targets for vulnerable groups by February 15.
