The 38th edition of the "snow sculpture" competition is held in the French city of Valloire despite the COVID-19 pandemic on January 25. Fifteen teams compete against each other, starting from big blocks of ice up to 4 meters high.

A sculpture called "L'Envol du silence" (The Flight of Silence) won first place. Its creators were Stéphane Rabusseau, Benoît Mesnier and Olivier Chatelain.
