Myanmar kicked off a COVID-19 vaccination program on Wednesday.

Frontline health workers and volunteers were given priority for vaccination starting Wednesday, followed by parliamentarians from Friday, according to a statement from the Health and Sports Ministry.

The country has so far registered more than 138,000 positive cases and over 3,000 deaths due to the novel coronavirus so far.
