A group of Arabian sand gazelles, known as "rheem" in Arabic, were photographed at the Telal Resort on the outskirts of the city of Al-Ain at the far east of the Gulf emirate of Abu Dhabi on January 26. Their silhouettes moved slowly under the desert sunset.
The Arabian sand gazelles are listed as "vulnerable" in the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List of Threatened Species. There are only less than 3,000 of them left in the wild in the world.
