The U.S. government is buying 100 million new doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines each, in a bid to address the shortage of COVID-19 vaccine supply in the country, U.S. President Joe Biden said Tuesday.
This will increase the total to 600 million, enough to inoculate 300 million Americans — virtually the entire U.S. population — by the end of summer or early fall, he added.
