A panel of international experts from the World Health Organization starts its first day of the COVID-19 global study in Wuhan City, central China's Hubei Province, after a two-week quarantine on Thursday. The team arrived in the city on January 14. Their trip aims to conduct research into the origins of the novel coronavirus, which was first reported in Wuhan at the end of 2019. The team has been communicating with Chinese scientists via video meetings during the quarantine. They'll be joined in by local experts and start on-site visits over the coming days.
