China and Bolivia on Thursday agreed to jointly push forward Belt and Road cooperation during a phone call between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Bolivian President Luis Arce.

Xi said China has always treated Bolivia as a good friend and good partner, adding that the country highly values the development of China-Bolivia strategic partnership.

China is willing to enhance political trust and mutual support with Bolivia and welcomes the country to make full use of China International Import Expo to promote more of its special products, Xi continued.

Xi stressed that China is ready to strengthen cooperation with Bolivia on COVID-19 vaccines and continue to support the country in the fight against the pandemic.

He called on the two countries to strengthen cooperation in areas including agriculture, infrastructure construction as well as telecommunications, and urged China and Bolivia to jointly safeguard the interests of developing countries.

Arce said the traditional friendship between the two countries is unbreakable and thanked China's support in the country's fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also voiced willingness to deepen Belt and Road cooperation with China and push forward the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
