China's first privately-owned high-speed railway is under construction. This line starts from Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province, and passes through two other cities in the province, stretching 266.9 kilometers. It has a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour and is expected to have eight stations. Track-laying for this railway starts February 1.
