The magic of longevity village in Bama, S China

Bama Yao Autonomous County, which has seven townships and three towns also known as the "longevity villages," is located in southern China. 

Many people decide to come here after they retire and live a healthy life since Bama boasts fresh air, abundant sunlight and pristine natural mineral water resources. It ranked fifth in the world for longevity: around 31 out of every 100,000 people are centenarians. With the popularity that Bama has gained over the years, it has been trying to attract foreign investment through various channels.

CGTN brings you three stories about three magical villages around China: Bama the longevity village, Shenshan the revolutionary history-oriented village and Longtan the painting village. All three villages are focused on tourism-related poverty alleviation based on different categories.
