Myanmar residents stage protests against military takeover

Thousands of people on Tuesday thronged the streets across Myanmar to join protests against a military takeover. The demonstrations were jointly organized by dozens of groups, including Students' Union of Myanmar and Myanmar Youth League.

People blared car horns and lit candles in Yangon, the country's largest city.
