Spain announced on Tuesday it will restrict all air arrivals from Brazil and South Africa to rein in the spread of the new variants of the coronavirus.

Only legal residents or nationals of Spain and the microstate of Andorra will be allowed in from Brazil and South Africa under the new rules, which come into force from Wednesday and will last two weeks, government spokesperson Maria Jesus Montero told a news conference.
