The China-WHO joint team visited the Wuhan Institute of Virology on Wednesday morning, where they paid a visit to its national biosafety P4 laboratory and met experts there.
The team said the overall professionalism of the institute impressed them. During the visit, they looked at research work, security measures of the laboratory, and discussed international scientific cooperation and anti-epidemic efforts.
The P4 laboratory in Wuhan is joining the WHO's Reference Laboratory Network, established to boost cooperation on global public health. WHO experts praised the move.
