Updated 22:20, 03-Feb-2021

To welcome the upcoming Chinese New Year, nine giant panda cubs are making their debut at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Center on Feb 4. The cubs are meeting their fans for the first time on the "Little New Year" on Chinese lunar calendar, which marks the start of the Chinese New Year's preparation phase. It's a tradition to celebrate the day by eating Tangyuan, a kind of rice dumplings with sesame fillings. The black and white color combination coincides with the skin color of pandas. The breeders will introduce the cubs by placing them in a row.
