Spring ploughing starts in parts of China

February 3 marks the start of spring, or "Lichun" in Chinese, which is the first of the 24 solar terms. Villagers in parts of China, including Jiangsu, Sichuan and Hainan provinces, started spring ploughing to mark the day and prayed for a good harvest in the new year.
