In his first foreign policy since the inauguration, U.S. President Joe Biden on Thursday promised to repair the country's alliances that were frayed during the Trump administration and to re-engage with the world. But he adopted a sterner tone with Russia, saying the United States would no longer ignore Russia's aggressive acts. CGTN spoke to Professor Josef Gregory Mahoney, Executive Director of the International Center for Advanced Political Studies at East China Normal University. He said that Biden may take a more assertive stance on Russia while making clear that he's willing to work with an adversary when it serves American interests.
