Hundreds of people have rallied in Myanmar's Yangon on Saturday, to protest against military takeover. They asked for release of senior officials including Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint detained by the army.

A reporter from China Central Television (CCTV) in Myanmar said police cars and ambulances can be seen in the streets. According to an earlier report by AFP, around 1,000 people joined the march, the biggest show of dissent so far against the military.
