Located between Sichuan Basin and Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Tianquan County in southwest China's Sichuan Province is an important migration route for black-necked cranes. The bird tops the priority list when it comes to national protection. Last November, a black-necked crane got stranded in Tianquan County during its annual migration. Experts speculate it lost its strength on the journey. The black-necked crane is now spending its days foraging in the fields while enjoying a leisurely existence.
