Where will Myanmar politics go?
CGTN

Myanmar’s military detained government leaders, including State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi and President Win Myint, over accusations of fraud in last year’s elections. A one-year state of emergency was declared, with army chief General Min Aung Hlaing in charge.

Is there evidence of election fraud, or is something else behind the military takeover? What impact will this have on Myanmar and the region? And where will Myanmar politics go from here?

To discuss these issues and more, we’ve invited Chheang Vannarith, President of the Asian Vision Institute in Cambodia; Shuja Nawaz, Distinguished Fellow at the Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center; and Professor Xu Qinhua from the School of International Studies at the Renmin University of China.
