The Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said it has developed two formulations for cryogenic disinfectants that have a reliable disinfection effect at low temperatures and can effectively solve disinfection challenges in low-temperature environments and on the outer packaging of frozen goods in a statement on Sunday.

The two disinfectants are formulated to work at minus 18 degrees Celsius and minus 40 degrees Celsius, respectively, and on the surfaces of the outer packaging of articles, according to the statement.

A product health and safety evaluation will be conducted on the two disinfectants before they enter the market, according to the relevant national requirements, the statement added.
