The Chinese mainland recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday – one local transmission and 10 from overseas, the National Health Commission said on Sunday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were registered and 70 patients were discharged from hospitals.

A total of 13 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 682 asymptomatic patients remained under medical observation.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland has reached 89,692, and the death toll stands at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region are as follows:

Hong Kong: 10,608 (9,828 recoveries, 186 deaths)

Macao: 48 (46 recoveries)

Taiwan: 924 (843 recoveries, 9 deaths)
