The Myanmar military called on all the people to jointly stop the activities of lawbreakers in the interests of the state and the nation amid current protest in the country.
In a statement on Monday, the military said that citizens have the right to speak, work and live freely in accordance with democratic principles but not to harm the interests of others.
There are some illegal phenomena in Myanmar society that use democratic rights as a pretext to disrupt the lives of others and even threaten to intimidate them, according to the statement.
The military will effectively deal with illegal acts that undermine national peace and the legal system, and threaten people's lives and safety in accordance with the law, the statement added.
