The Biden administration will soon announce that the United States is rejoining the UN Human Rights Council, the AP reported Sunday, citing two U.S. officials.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and a senior American diplomat in Geneva will make the announcement on Monday, according to the report.

The country withdrew from the body three years ago.
