The UK will tighten its border controls from Monday to fight against COVID-19, requiring hotel quarantine in England for those arriving from the most high-risk countries.

Arrivals will have to quarantine in assigned hotels, which they will book before departure and pay 1,750 pounds per traveler, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said on Tuesday.

Further details will be revealed on Thursday.

The country has now reported 3.9 million cases, with the death toll at 113,014.
