China denounces U.S. carriers' exercises in South China Sea

Chinese Foreign Ministry on Tuesday denounced U.S. Navy's recent exercises in the South China Sea and vowed to continue taking necessary measures to maintain peace and stability in the region.

Wang Wenbin, a spokesperson for the ministry, told the media that the U.S. has frequently dispatched carriers to the South China Sea, and these moves are detrimental to the region's peace and stability.

Wang made the remarks after media reported that two U.S. carrier groups conducted joint exercises in the South China Sea on Tuesday.
