Chinese COVID-19 vaccines arrive in Equatorial Guinea

A batch of Chinese COVID-19 vaccines arrived in Malabo, capital of Equatorial Guinea, on Wednesday, the Chinese embassy in Equatorial Guinea confirmed.

The consignment is the first batch of vaccines provided by the Chinese government to African countries.

Chinese Ambassador Qi Mei and Equatorial Guinea's Minister of Health Vicente Nsue Milang signed the receipt certification confirming the donation of COVID-19 vaccines.

Vice President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, said the donation of vaccines from China shows the excellent relations and cooperation between the two countries. It is another example of China's altruism and solidarity and Equatorial Guinea trusts the efficacy and safety of these vaccines, he said.
