A white-throated laughingthrush was captured last Monday on camera spreading its wings when taking to the sky in central China's Hubei Province.

The bird is a member of the laughingthrush family, mostly good at singing.

According to the Chinese journal "Forest and Men," China has 38 laughingthrush species – 70 percent of the world's total – and is considered a major habitat for the bird family.

CGTN Nature channel has been publishing pictures of birds and other animals and plants contributed by photographers, both professional and amateur.
