Voxpop: Are you going home for the Chinese New Year?
03:36

The Chinese Lunar New Year is around the corner, but many will not go home this year. In mid-January, there was a slight surge in COVID-19 cases in China, reaching 232, the highest since last August. So this Spring Festival, the government aims to make sure there won't be any increment in infections. To make this happen, cities and towns across the country outlined strict plans to monitor and manage domestic travelers, which include two weeks of quarantine, a negative test result a few days before departure and other tests every seven days. Some other cities are encouraging people to stay put in the cities they work in, such as Beijing.
