Camellias are blooming on about 10 hectares of land in the national forest park of Huaihua City, central China's Hunan Province. During the Spring Festival holiday, diverse groups of visitors come to the park for sightseeing. Viewed from a height, the flowers look like a colorful carpet covering the mountain. This camellia species is endemic to Huaihua. It blooms around the Chinese New Year and lasts until April.
