Chinese buy flowers to decorate their homes to welcome the Spring Festival. The festival, which is also called Chinese New Year, falls on February 12 this year.

It it a custom that people buy flowers like orchids and azaleas during the festival for good luck in the coming year. This year, flowers are also being sold online.
