Red-billed Leiothrix eats seeds in central China
CGTN

A Red-billed Leiothrix was captured on camera eating seeds from a tree on Wednesday in central China's Hubei Province.

The bird is distinguished by its red bill and olive body. It mainly lives in the Himalayas and southern China.

The popularity of the bird as a caged pet has threatened its population. The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora(CITES) has included the bird in its protection list to reduce trade.
