Many community centers have been renovated as part of China's rural revitalization program, led by top universities since 2017. College students, including some international students, have been hugely instrumental in this development process.
CGTN reporters interviewed the initiator and main participants of this rural revitalization program as they got a peek into the new look of these villages. During the past year, the program has organized 34 local teams, including eight that were turned into online teams due to the impact of COVID-19.
As of the Spring Festival, five workstations have been put into use to improve the rural living environment. By the end of 2021, 10 new stations will be built in rural areas.
