A male Reeves's pheasant was captured on camera on February 1, hopping on grass and showing its long and colorful tail in central China's Hubei Province.

The bird is named after the British naturalist John Reeves who first introduced live specimens of the bird to Europe in 1831.

Males are distinguished by their extremely long silvery white tail striped with chestnut brown.
