Canada on Friday announced stricter travel and border measures, which will take effect from February 22, to fight against COVID-19.

With limited exceptions, air travelers will be required to pay for a three-night stay in a government-authorized hotel until they receive results from a COVID-19 test taken at the airport, according to the government.

As of February 22, travelers entering Canada at the land border will be required to take a COVID-19 molecular test on arrival as well as toward the end of their 14-day quarantine.
