The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide has exceeded 113 million, with over 2.5 million deaths and more than 63 million recoveries, according to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University.

The Chinese mainland on Friday reported 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19, all from abroad. 

A panel of advisers to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommended the authorization of Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine for emergency use, paving the way for it to become the third to get regulatory approval.

Cote d'Ivoire has become the second country to receive vaccines from COVAX after Ghana. Nigeria and Honduras are both expecting the first vaccine deliveries from the scheme next month.
