Located in the southwest of Xi'an City, central China's Shaanxi Province, Xi'an Kunming Pool is the first large-scale man-made lake in Chinese history. Its construction dates back to 120 B.C. when Emperor Wudi of the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-AD 220) started building it using Shanglin Garden and the Imperial Marsh Pond of Zhou and Qin as reference. Qixi Park, which alludes to the romantic love legend "the Cowherd and the Girl Weaver," is to the north of Kunming Pool.
During the Spring Festival, Xi'an Kunming Pool and Qixi Park put on a beautiful festive water lantern show featuring traditional culture of the Festival and the Year of the Ox, and an array of fun activities. Join us to feel the festive mood.
