Peru receives new batch of Chinese COVID-19 vaccine

A new batch of 700,000 doses of China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Lima, Peru, on Saturday night.
The South American country kickstarted its inoculation campaign on Tuesday, two days after it received the first batch of vaccines from Chinese pharmaceutical firm Sinopharm on February 7.
Peruvian President Francisco Sagasti and some frontline medical professionals have already received their first shots.
