Prevention and control work concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, which has lasted more than a year, is still serious. Before this year's Spring Festival, the Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention reminded residents at a press conference that they were encouraged to spend the holiday in Beijing and reduce the flow of people from traveling abroad. For many people living in China's capital city, it was time to stay away from their home towns and not reunite with family. CGTN spent Chinese New Year's Eve with people from different walks of life, and witnessed their resilience in the face of the pandemic.
