Firefighters rescued a man who was trapped on a cliff while climbing mountains in south China's Guangdong Province Friday afternoon. The incident was reported at around 4:12 p.m. in Zhaoqing City's Fengkai County, where the man was spotted. Upon arriving at the site, a team of firefighters quickly assessed the cliffs' height and the man's location to work out a rescue plan. A firefighter with a safety harness descended to the stranded tourist and made sure the ropes were safely placed along the way and would not be cut by rocks. After reaching the stranded man, the firefighter put a safety harness on him and slowly lowered him to the foot of the mountain.
