Andrew Cuomo, Governor of New York State of U.S., responded to reports that he was covering up COVID-19 deaths in nursing homes, acknowledging he was in charge and his office should have reported the data faster. He said that the state legislature request for data was paused as his team was dealing with the Department of Justice. However, a leaked phone call shows that all data delivery was delayed because they worried it was "going to be used against us" by the Trump administration.
