On the fifth day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, people performed rituals to welcome the God of Wealth. This day is also traditionally marked as a day to "Po Wu" or "break the fifth," implying many taboos can be broken on this day. Unlike past years, celebrations weren't held on firm land but the river, following anti-epidemic requirements. Colorful boats symbolizing wealth sailed into the new year slowly, with hosts greeting and wishing spectators a prosperous year.
