A hotel and casino owned by former U.S. President Donald Trump was demolished in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Wednesday. The 34-story building was reduced to rubble in just 20 seconds by 3,000 sticks of dynamite with a huge cloud of dust seen in mid-air. /CFP

Opening in 1984, the hotel and casino was a hot spot for celebrities to hold parties and events. However, Trump cut ties with the casino in 2009 after a string of bankruptcy filings according to NBC News, coming to a close in 2014. /CFP

The building has since fallen into disrepair and had to be demolished as chunks of it had started to peel off. /CFP
