Senior Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi will visit Qatar, Uganda, Zambia and Kuwait starting Friday at the invitation of the governments of the four countries, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday.

At a regular press briefing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said that Yang, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, will be on the trip from February 19 to 23.

During his visits, he will exchange views with his counterparts on bilateral relations, regional and international situations, and global governance, said Hua.
